The fifth of seven DIYs is an absolutely gorgeous ethnic bracelet. I am totally in love with it. π And what is really exciting about it β you don’t need a glue gun to make it π Just glue sticks. I should mention that it is absolutely waterproof, flexible and will last long. Give you my word. Have fun! And don’t miss the next (6th) DIY tomorrow!
In this video I show how to make bracelet using just hot melt glue sticks for glue gun and iron (WITHOUT a Glue Gun). This is the fifth of seven videos from my DIY Marathon (July 9 β July 15). New video every day β so don’t miss the next ones. π
At first I must say β it is really waterproof (or water resistant) and flexible. Acrylic paint will not crack or wash out. That’s for sure! Give you my word!
I love the ethnic style of this bracelet. And I love it is wide. But you can make it more narrow and paint in any way. π
For this DIY Hot Glue Bracelet you will need:
-
baking paper
-
3 hot melt glue sticks (diameter 7 mm, length 20 cm)
-
iron (turn it on the maximum temperature)
-
acrylic paint
-
permanent marker
-
candle and an awl (to make holes)
-
ribbon
Few tips:
Make sure the baking paper you use doesn’t stick to the hot glue after it (glue) cool.
When ironing β try to smash the air bubbles in melted glue between two sheets of baking paper.
I used turquoise, white and gold acrylic paints and black permanent marker. But you can change the colors according to your taste π
