How To Make An Orbeez Hourglass – DIY Water Beads Liquid Hourglass

Let’s make something colorful and awesome from regular stuff and water gel! This DIY Orbeez Hourglass is absolutely adorable and new way to use water beads (Orbeez).

DIY Orbeez Hourglass

Super adorable way to use Orbeez (water gel beads) – to make a DIY liquid hourglass. It is so relaxing to watch how colorful water beads slowly fall and flow. And it is super easy to make!

You will need:

  • Orbeez (water gel)

  • 2 empty Nutella glass jars

  • 2 balloons

  • clear tape

  • piece of card stock

Just a few tips:

Use middle size balloons (not too big and not too small).

Don’t make holes (using balloons) too small – because beads will not fall constantly.

Instead of using cardstock paper to hide a seam – you can use a ribbon.

Have fun!

  1. Just asking, but why do you have to use glass Nutella jars? I don’t think I have them in my area. Can’t you use plastic jars instead?
